Available from Monday 25th February exclusively for UK members of Clan Speyburn, the Clan Cask is an exceptional whisky with an interesting history.
It was matured in a Spanish oak sherry cask from Pedro Domecq, which is the oldest Bodega in Jerez, founded in 1730 by an Irishman Patrick Murphy. The cask was used to mature Pedro Ximenez sherry, which is what gives the whisky the dark colour.
Laid down in 1975 this whisky has spent 37 years maturing in the traditional dunnage at the Speyburn Distillery, where it has gained incredible complexity and depth of character.
Specially selected by Distillery Manager Bobby Anderson, it is a limited edition bottling of just one cask available exclusively to members of Clan Speyburn and is available to purchase on a first come first served basis, limited to one bottle per person.
The Clan Cask has already had some incredible reviews from some lucky advance tasters, here is a sample of what people are saying about it:
“Sometimes I write quite a lot of notes when summing a whisky up to give an overall impression. Not this time. One word. Magnificent.”

“All in all, a first class cask. Excellent nose, and palate, complex, interesting, viscous and rewarding.”
