Climb Ben Rinnes

Just a 40-minute drive from Speyburn Distillery is Ben Rinnes. At 2733ft, this is the highest peak in the Speyside region. With an ascent of 548m, this popular hill walk is a 7.5km round trip and takes approximately 3 hours to complete. While there are several potential starting points, the most popular track to follow is on the east side of the mountain. Suitable for beginners, there is a clear path to the top that can be followed although it is recommended that you wear appropriate footwear as you may be required to climb over rocks. The extensive views at the top are well worth the climb, showcasing much of north-east Scotland. This is the perfect opportunity to admire the Speyside region in it all its glory.
